The Delhi University School of Open Learning (DU SOL) has announced its academic admission notification of the session 2021-2022. The admission process at DU SOL in various courses at Undergraduate and Postgraduate level has opened for the fresh pass out students from the 12th board.

Courses Offered by DU SOL Admission 2021

Students can check the list of the courses and programs provided by DU SOL in which the students can take admissions are given below. Admission at university is sought via DU SOL admission 2021. The duration of Undergraduate courses is 3 years and the Post Graduation courses duration is of 2 years. 

Undergraduate (Bachelor’s) Programme

  • Bachelor of Arts Programme (Semester Mode)
  • Bachelor of English Honors (Semester Mode)
  • Bachelor of Political Science Honors (Semester Mode)
  • Bachelor of Commerce Programme (Semester Mode)
  • Bachelor of Commerce Honors (Semester Mode)

Post Graduation (Master’s) Programme 

  • Master of Arts (Hindi), Semester Mode 
  • Master of Arts (History), Semester Mode
  • Master of Arts (Political Science), Semester Mode

Eligibility Criteria at DU SOL for UG & PG Programs

Entitlement to get admission in Undergraduate Courses: It is recommended for the students to check the eligibility process first before registering themselves at the DU SOL for taking admissions in the specific course as per their choice and the percentage they have scored in the 12th board. 

  • Note: There is no age limit to apply for UG courses. 
  • Students must be passed out from his/her 10+2 boards from any recognized education board (CBSE, ICSE, CISCE, NIOS). 
  • Must have a minimum percentage as per the course they will select for undergraduate level. 

Eligibility Criteria B.A (Hons) in English: For this particular course to take admission at DU SOL is mentioned below, candidates can check for the same. 

  • General Category: The students who belong to the General Category must have a minimum of 65% marks in aggregate in their 10+2. The candidates must score a minimum of 75% or above in individual English core subjects and 65% in English elective/ functional. Vocational streams are not allowed. 
  • OBC Category: The students who belong to the OBC (Other Backward Class) category must have 58.5% aggregate marks with 67.5% marks in core English subject or 58.5% marks in English elective/ functional. Vocational streams are not allowed. 
  • SC/ ST: The Students who belong to the SC/ ST Category must have a minimum of passing marks in the qualifying exam with core English subjects and 3 academic subjects. Vocational Stream is not allowed. 
  • PWD: The students who belong to the PWD Category must have obtained 61.75% in any one of the qualifying exams with 71.25% marks in English core or 61.25% marks in English elective/ functional English. Vocational Stream is not allowed. 

Eligibility Criteria B Com (Hons): For this specific course to take admission at DU SOL is mentioned below. Candidates can check for the same.

  • General Category: The students who belong to the General Category must have a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in 10+2. The candidates who passed 12th with vocational stream must have a minimum of 60% aggregate. 
  • OBC Category: The students who belong to the OBC (Other Backward Class) must have a minimum of 49% aggregate in 10+2. The candidates who passed 10+2 with the vocational stream must have 54% marks. 
  • SC/ST: These students must have a minimum of passing marks in any of the qualifying exams (10+2). 
  • PWD: Students who belong to this section must have a minimum of 52.25% marks. The candidates who passed 10+2 with the vocational stream must have a minimum of 60% marks. 

Eligibility Criteria BA (Hons) Political Science: For this distinct course to take admissions at DU SOL is mentioned below. Candidates can check for the same. 

  • General category: The students must have a minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying exam with one core language (English/ Hindi) and 3 academic subjects. 
  • OBC: The students who belong to this section, must have a minimum of 45% marks in the qualifying exam. 
  • SC/ ST: The students must have a minimum of passing marks in the qualifying exam with the core English / Hindi subject and 3 academic subjects. Vocational stream is not allowed. 
  • PWD: The candidates must have a minimum of 47.5% aggregate marks in the qualifying exam with one core language and 3 academic courses. 

Eligibility Criteria for Post Graduation Courses:

For taking admissions at PG level, students must have completed his/her graduation from any stream as per the choice of specialization they will select in masters. 

  • MA in Hindi: The candidates must have completed B. A in Hindi with a minimum of 40% marks from any UGC-DEB approved. Also read: DU SOL BA Admission Fees
  • MA in History: The candidates must have scored a minimum of 55% marks in their B.A History from any UGC-DEB-approved university. 
  • MA in Political Science: The candidates must score a minimum of 50% marks in their respective B.A Hons/ B.A program or B.A pass. 
  • MA in Sanskrit: The candidates must be done graduation in Sanskrit with a minimum of 45% marks. 
  • M.Com In order to pursue this course, the students must secure a minimum of 50% (45% for reserved categories) in aggregate marks in B.com (Hons)/ B.com program/ B. An (Economics) from any UGC-DEB-approved university. 

Admission Procedure of DU SOL of the Academic Session 2021-2022

The School of Open Learning, University of Delhi has released the application notification of UG and PG level at sol.du.ac.in. Students can fill the application form in these simple steps given below:

  • Browse the online admission registration via the DU SOL website ( https://sol.du.ac.in/ )
  • Login to the SOL website in online admissions. 
  • Fill in the relevant information as per the course you have been selected. (Detailed page/ Personal Details page). 
  • Upload all the scanned copies of the mentioned relevant documents (10+2/ Identity Proofs/ other documents). 
  • After submission of the documents, submit the payment as per the course. And download the fee receipt and save it for the future process. 

Application Fee: The students can pay the application fee only by online more of the transaction (Debit card/ Credit card/ Net- Banking and Demand Draft).
