PRINCE2 Project Management systems and methods
Project management is the system and or methodology for planning, organizing, and managing resources, or ideas, and are often cyclic in duration – a way of working with a finite time span, or even a single time span. Sometimes, however, projects are very long in duration and involve a large number of processes. As on a PRINCE 2 practitioner Courses and training.
The term project management can mean “a system of order and control to produce a specified quantity of (something else)” or “a system for the control of a project.” Note that project management and project control are not equivalents, although many projects may require one or both of them to be completed.
The concentrating of functions on routine or routine matters (planning) has encouraged many in the management field to choose a variety of technical management technologies (tactics). Although very certain, these approaches often land managers in suchwork overload situations that it reduces overall efficiency and effectiveness wh TPP multitude efforts dramatically.
The definition of project management that is used now (the most widely accepted, for example) is “a course of action designed to bring about satisfactory completion of a particular project.” The approach for project management is a method, procedure, or system for the orderly and systematic work of men to achieve the task assigned to them.”
A project is a temporary endeavor, having definite beginning (beginning summer and ending school) and definite end (ending school). The jobs in that project consist of two elements – its operations (under certain supervision) and its products (its end results). A project is one single thing. It may have a start and an end but, generally, a project has a beginning and an end and it produces a certain product. The work, as a result of the project, is also a whole. This tells us that the various elements which are necessary for the project well-being and ultimate success are interrelated. The work of the project also may be performed on a continuing basis, continuing the activities and the projects itself. This gives rise to a dynamic process of changing the plan. However, this dynamic process must not be impeded by certain various factors. In effect, project management requires a human element to make effective.
Objectives are explicit statements of the tasks that are to be accomplished. They may be long- relatively short-term, to be accomplished at a particular point in time. They frequently are at a limited- know- how, but they are both recognized and approved by a responsible authority at the outset. The various employing authorities at the outset are often times (eventually) the project manager, usually, or a “team leader.” The responsibilities, roles, and personalities of the several individuals may vary but they do not prevent or/and should not prevent the objective of the project being properly conducted, as determined by the controlling authority.
Project-management is a dynamic system and procedure. Its efficacy will be again appreciated and expected as time passes. The major function of project management will be to provide (control, directing, guiding, controlling, directing, directing) order and control of any and all activities involved in carrying out the project. Complete and effective project management must be the major responsibility of a particular project manager at any one time.
The various disciplines of project management must be stressed, to the utmost of their rational power, to accomplish the project well-being and ultimate success.
