The Government of India has taken various initiatives for setting up businesses in India. Simplifying the registration process is one of them. The documents that are required to be attached are mostly related to proving one’s identity and residential status.

There are no more requirements for lengthy paperwork and additional proofs, making the size of the form go beyond the mentioned limit. Let’s go through the desired documents one is required to submit for incorporating a private limited company.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR SUBSCRIBERS AND DIRECTORS

  1. IDENTITY PROOFS

The following proofs are to be submitted to prove one’s identity:

For Indian Nationals:

  • PAN Card (mandatory) and any one of the following
  • Voter’s Identity card
  • Passport Copy
  • Driving License copy

For your information, a Copy of Aadhar is not accepted as Identity Proof as part of the incorporation process. However, one can attach a copy of Aadhar as part of KYC.

For Foreign nationals and Non-Resident Indians

  • Passport
  1. RESIDENTIAL PROOF

Any one of the following documents is required to be produced for proving the authenticity of the place of residence of the applicant:

  • Bank Statement
  • Electricity Bill
  • Telephone Bill
  • Mobile Bill

One should note that the above documents should not be more than two months old

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR PROVING THE DETAILS OF THE REGISTERED ADDRESS OF THE PROPOSED COMPANY

The applicant is required to prove the details of the registered address of the proposed company by attaching any one of the following documents:

  1. Utility Bill of the property (Any one):
  • Electricity Bill
  • Telephone Bill
  • Mobile Bill
  • Gas Bill
  1. No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the owner
  2. In the case of rented property
  • Rental agreement with rent receipt

One should note that the above documents should not be more than two months old.
