Delta Air Lines has a very strict policy when it comes to check-in and their baggage policy. These policies are meant to ensure that you have a smooth travel experience and avoid any inconvenience on the day of your flight.

  • You can check-in for your Delta Airlines flight through the carrier’s website or mobile app.
  • There are no restrictions on how far in advance you should check-in for a Delta Airlines flight, but if you have a confirmed reservation and are checking bags, it’s best to do so at least an hour before departure.
  • Passengers who have purchased Basic Economy fares must check in with Delta Airlines at least 30 minutes before departure.

Delta Airlines Check-in Policy:

The Delta Airlines check-in policy states that you should arrive at the airport 2 hours before your scheduled departure time. You can do this by scanning your boarding pass at the kiosk or using the self-service check-in machines. If you are using the self-service machines, you will be given a paper boarding pass with a barcode on it. This barcode will be scanned at all security checkpoints and boarding gates throughout your journey.

If you have an international flight, then you must arrive at least 3 hours before your scheduled departure time so that there is enough time for immigration and customs clearance procedures. Do note that if your flight is delayed or canceled due to unforeseen circumstances, then Delta Airlines will not be responsible for reimbursing any expenses incurred as a result of this delay or cancellation; this also applies if your flight was delayed because of bad weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances beyond their control.

What can you bring on the Delta plane?

The Delta plane has a lot of restrictions when it comes to what you can bring onboard. You can check out the complete list of restrictions on their website, but we’ve listed some of the most important ones here.

You can’t bring any liquids (except baby formula and medications in prescription bottles), gels or aerosols in your carry-on or checked luggage. That means no personal care items like shampoo or toothpaste—you’ll have to leave those at home. If you’re bringing a car seat for a child, make sure it’s FAA-approved and has the appropriate safety harness for an aircraft seatbelt system. It should also be approved for use by infants under two years old.

Some sporting equipment is allowed on board as long as it doesn’t exceed certain dimensions (including weight), such as golf clubs, hockey sticks, ski poles, and skis (without bindings). All other sporting equipment must be checked.

Delta allows you to bring:

  • -One personal item that fits under the seat in front of you, like a purse or backpack.
